Dana White Stands Firm Against Major Sponsor’s Demand to Remove Pro-Trump Video – Tells Them to ‘Go F**k Yourself’

‘Go F**k Yourself’

While appearing on Theo Von’s “This Past Weekend” podcast, White recalled the moment a top sponsor for the UFC called him personally to demand that the pro-Trump video be taken down immediately.

“I posted a video for Trump on my personal social media, and one of our big sponsors called and said ‘Take that down,’” White recounted. “You know what I said? ‘Go f**k yourself.”

“You vote for whoever you wanna vote for, and I’ll vote for whoever I wanna vote for. That’s how this works. I don’t even care who you’re voting for. It’s none of my f**king business,” he continued. “But f**k you. Don’t ever call me and tell me who to vote for.”

Not stopping there, White defiantly said that he will never let sponsors tell him what he can and cannot say publicly.

“I will never, ever answer to a f**king advertiser,” he said. “You can’t ever let these f**king people hold you hostage or try to change who you are or what you stand for, or try to determine how you’re going to run your business.”

White Refuses To Submit To Sponsors

In this same interview, White explained that the UFC has become so successful that he doesn’t need to be beholden to what sponsors tell him to do.,

“I’m at a point now in my life and my career where I want to be with people that I’m aligned with,” White stated. “It’s not just about the money. It is about the money because it’s a sponsorship deal, but it’s not just [about the money]. I’m not going to take a bigger offer if it’s not something that I am aligned with and I don’t 100 percent believe in.”

“When you do a sponsorship deal with somebody, you have to look deep into who they are and who’s running the company, who’s making the decisions, and are you aligned?” he continued.

White Attends UFC 95 With Trump

Last Saturday night, White attended UFC 95 with the former President Trump, the ex-Fox News host Tucker Carlson, and the musician Kid Rock at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Their group was greeted by cheers and chants of “USA! USA!” as they entered the arena and made their way to their seats.

“I’ve been in the fight business my whole life. I know fighters,” White said during his speech, according to Bleacher Report. “Ladies and gentlemen, Donald Trump is a fighter, and I know he’ll fight for this country.”

Unlike many celebrities, White is clearly someone who is not afraid to think for himself when it comes to politics. We’re glad to see that he still has Trump’s back, and we can all learn a lot from the way he shut down that sponsor who was trying to control his political views!
