Dancing with the Stars Sends ‘Brady Bunch’ Star Barry Williams Packing in Fiery Exit

The former “Brady Bunch” star Barry Williams was eliminated from “Dancing With The Stars” on Tuesday night, and it can’t be denied that he went out with a bang, as he shocked everyone by ripping off his shirt during his performance!

Williams’ Final Performance

Williams’ last performance with his partner Peta Murgatroyd was a salsa dance-off against his fellow contestant Jason Mraz and pro Daniella Karagach. Williams, 69, gave the performance everything he had, rocking his hip before stunning the audience by ripping his shirt open.

In the audience supporting Williams last night was his “Brady Bunch” co-star Christopher Knight, who got a major kick out of the performance.

“I’m going to chuckle forever. It was great,” Knight told Fox News afterwards. “An unfortunate ending, but he went out giving it [his] all… It just goes to prove if you’re going to take your shirt off, take your pants off too, leave nothing on.”

Knight went on to say that Williams’ performance was “extraordinary” and “very gutty.”

“What an entertaining evening, and I’m very proud of him,” he added.

Williams Had A Blast

While the performance wasn’t enough to save Williams, he had a blast doing it.

“It felt electric. I felt supportive. It felt loud, and it felt good,” Williams told Entertainment Tonight, referring to the audience chanting his name. “I have never had more fun on the dance floor period.”

Williams, who famously played Greg Brady on “The Brady Bunch” decades ago, had a good run on “Dancing With The Stars,” finishing seventh out of fourteen celebrity contestants. As he looks back at his time on the reality show, he’s hoping his legacy will be the joy he brought to viewers.

“There was a great connection on the dance floor and in the room tonight, and when you bring people together like that, that’s what we’re all about,” he said. “That’s what we’re doing. We’re being entertainers. We’re being dancers. We’re trying to build energy. We’re trying to connect, and I feel like we did that tonight.”

Williams ‘Went Out With A Bang’

Watch Williams talk more about his elimination in the video below.

Williams had been trying to get on “Dancing With The Stars” for seventeen years, and he ended up having a great time doing the show.

“I felt like, after the second show, I had already won! This has been such a tremendous experience, such an uncomfortable growing experience,” Williams told Page Six. “Peta has been the best partner I could have hoped for [and] I’ll have skills I’ll take with me for life. And I went out with a bang!”

You sure did, Barry!
