Michigan, it will likely play a major role in the next presidential election. In a focus group with Detroit metro voters, Joe Biden’s age was a significant issue, giving Donald Trump an advantage. Voters raised concerns about Biden’s age and fitness for the job. Many felt that while Trump was a threat to democracy, they would still vote for him over Biden in 2024. Biden’s mental decline and age were more concerning to voters than Trump’s legal problems. The findings were based on two online focus groups with Michigan voters who supported Trump in 2016 and Biden in 2020. Despite potential felony charges, most were still willing to vote for Trump. The report also indicated that Biden’s age and health issues were weighing heavily on the minds of voters, suggesting that this could impact the outcome of the election.
