Senator Tim Scott Tapped as Trump Campaign’s Ambassador to Black Community

In 2024, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott did not criticize Donald Trump during his presidential run. According to a report, Scott is expected to assist the former president with reaching out to black voters. His support in South Carolina helped Joe Biden win the presidency. The Senator’s public backing of Trump comes as the GOP aims to appeal to more Black voters. Scott and Trump have a strong working relationship, and the Senator has helped secure funds for historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Despite Black voters being staunch supporters of the Democratic Party, Trump’s popularity among them is on the rise. There is speculation that Scott could help Trump garner support from black voters in the 2024 election.
