The former President Donald Trump took to social media on Sunday to claim that the radically liberal singer Taylor Swift can’t endorse Joe Biden because he is “the worst and most corrupt president.”¾This came hours before Swift attended the Super Bowl to cheer on her boyfriend Travis Kelce as his team the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers. Though Swift proudly endorsed Biden back in 2020, Trump does not believe that she will be able to do so this time around. Last month, a poll conducted by Redfield & Wilton Strategies for Newsweek found that eighteen percent of voters stated that they are “more likely” or “significantly more likely” to vote for whichever candidate that Swift is supporting. “She’s influenced popular culture, sports, the economics of entire regions of the U.S.,” said communications consultant James Haggerty. “So why not politics and elections?” At the time of this writing, Swift has yet to respond to Trump’s latest comments about her. Only time will tell if Trump is right in saying that Swift won’t be able to endorse Biden this time around.
