The former Fox News host Tucker Carlson marched with anti-amnesty protesters in Spain, earning him praise from those on the streets and online commentary suggesting that he is essentially a world leader now.
The protests, involving thousands of people and generated outside the national headquarters of the Spanish Socialist Party (PSOE) in Madrid, are in opposition to acting Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez’s plan to grant amnesty to Catalan criminals who sought to secede from Spain.
When asked by a local reporter why he had decided to join the anti-amnesty protests, the Carlson suggested that he wanted to lend visibility to the demonstrations.
“Anybody who would violate your Constitution, potentially use physical violence to end democracy is a tyrant, is a dictator,” he insisted. “And it’s happening in the middle of Europe, so we thought it deserved more coverage than it’s getting.”

For the most part, Carlson’s move to join anti-amnesty protests in Spain was well-received, even earning some commentary on social media that he was acting like a “world leader.”
Video surfaced showing him mobbed by eager fans with one urging him, “Please, Tucker, help us with these motherf***ers!”

An X account known as @EndWokeness, often elevated on the platform by CEO Elon Musk, shared a video of Carlson joining the protests.
“Tucker Carlson has joined the uprising in Spain against the socialist coup. He is marching with the opposition leader,” they wrote. “Tucker is basically a world leader now.”
“He’s already done more than Kamala,” one person wrote, while another declared, “Carlson 2028.”

This past summer, Carlson spoke with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who said he believes that former President Donald Trump is the only man who can bring peace to Ukraine and, by extension, “save the Western World.”
“A source close to Carlson told me: ‘All I can say is every world leader over that way … literally all of them … are very interested in speaking with Tucker,’” reporter Tina Nguyen relayed.
