An illegal alien from Mexico with a criminal history has been arrested for crashing his car into a state trooper, resulting in the trooper’s death.
Illegal Alien Allegedly Kills State Trooper
Raul Benitez Santana, 33, admitted to consuming alcohol and marijuana before crashing into Trooper Christopher Gadd’s patrol car. Gadd, a married father, was killed instantly as his car was parked on the shoulder of Interstate 5 in Marysville. Santana is held on $1 million bail for vehicular homicide and assault charges.

Gadd joined the state trooper force in 2021 and graduated from the Trooper Basic Training Class in 2022. His tragic death has deeply affected the Washington State Patrol community.
