Lil Pump’s Audience Chants ‘We Want Trump!’

Donald Trump is far ahead of every other candidate in the Republican presidential primary.

He also continues to break ground, reaching demographics that have long ignored the GOP. Nowhere is there better evidence than his fans in the hip-hop community.

At a recent concert at the University of Arizona, popular rapper Lil Pump got the crowd chanting ‘we want Trump!’

Lil Pump for Trump

Lil Pump’s enthusiasm for Trump is not new, however.

Hiphopdx reports:

Taking to Instagram on Thursday (November 16), the Florida native showed off the new red, white and blue color he added to his locs. “Pump for trump,” he captioned the pic.

The new ‘do comes after Lil Pump appeared at Trump’s latest rally in Florida last week, where he got a shoutout from the embattled ex-president. Despite previously calling him “Lil Pimp,” Trump shouted out Lil Pump for being a Day 1 supporter.

“He’s one of the few — rapper Lil Pump,” Trump said at the rally, after which Pump stood up and saluted the crowd while donning a red MAGA hat in support.

On the cusp of the 2020 election, Lil Pump joined Trump onstage at a campaign rally, the then-Republican nominee mistakenly introduced the rapper as ‘Lil Pimp.’

The Hill reported of that humorous incident:

The Hill added, “Shortly after taking the podium, Lil Pump offered praise to the president, telling him he appreciates everything he has ‘done for our country.”

Other hip-hop stars have stand with Trump

Support from the hip-hop community is nothing new for Trump – but quite new for any Republican.

In 2020, Ice Cube advised the Trump presidential campaign on its economic agenda, particularly items that might help black Americans.

CNN reported at the time, after Cube was criticized for his dalliance with Trump, “Still, (Ice Cube) continued to defend his stance on Thursday, saying that he will ‘advise anyone on the planet who has the power to help Black Americans close the enormous wealth gap.”

On Tuesday, Katrina Pierson, a senior adviser for the President, tweeted that Cube helped develop Trump’s ‘Platinum Plan.’

Rapper Kanye West has met with Trump multiple times, including in the Oval Office.

Other supporters of Trump in the hip-hop community include Sexxy Red, Chief Keef, Kodak Black, and Waka Flocka Flame.

If the Trump campaign or Republican Party can figure out how to mobilize this support, especially among the younger demographic who make up the fans of these artists, 2024 could be a long year for Democrats.

Now is the time to support and share the sources you trust.
