Free Class – Crepe Paper Crocuses
I’ve got another free Michaels/Silhouette class coming up! This time I’ll teach you how to make crepe paper crocuses with the Silhouette Cameo 5 and Rotary Blade. It will be a live online class on Thursday, March 27th, 2025 at 11am MT / 12pm CT.

Class Description:
Get to know the Silhouette Rotary Blade while creating beautiful springtime crocuses! Crepe paper is a specialty material that requires the Rotary Blade when cutting with a Silhouette machine. Its textured grain allows for stretching, making realistic blooms, but it can’t be cut with a regular blade.
This class is perfect for crepe-paper beginners and Silhouette users of all skill levels. I will guide you through setting up your design in Silhouette Studio, ensuring a successful cut, and then show you how to shape and assemble a complete crocus.
Requirements:
- Silhouette Rotary Blade
- Compatible Silhouette machine: Cameo 5, Cameo 4, Cameo Pro MK-II, or Curio 2 (Kelly will demonstrate with the Silhouette Cameo 5)
- Silhouette Studio Software installed on your computer
- Design ID #1244741 downloaded and ready to use
- Other supplies listed

Supplies:
- Silhouette Cameo 5 with included roll feeder
- Silhouette Rotary Blade
- Sticky cutting mat
- Crepe Paper – purple, orange, off-white, green (I’m using Michaels crepe paper in class, but you can use other weights you may have on hand)
- Floral wire, 18 gauge, cloth or paper covered
- Hot glue gun
- Strong craft glue like Bearly Art Glue
- Sharp scissors
- Floral foam for pot
- Wire cutters
- Small shallow pot (about 3” tall)
- Spanish moss or other filler to cover foam
- Silhouette Studio Software
