How To Make This:
(Post updated 6/16/2022) I spent two hours teaching the fine details in class, but here are some basic written instructions for those who have the cut files from the Silhouette Design Store.
3D Paper Dahlia

Each flower uses a single sheet of letter-size cardstock. You may need to resize slightly smaller to fit a Portrait mat. The leaf and sepals are to be cut from a separate sheet of cardstock.
Flower Instructions:
- Shape the petals
- Wrap the center fringe strip around the tip of an 18-gauge floral wire with hot glue to secure
- Poke the wire through remaining petal sets, smallest to largest, securing each layer with hot glue
Leaf:
- Use tacky glue to sandwich a 22-gauge wire between the center edges, slightly overlapped to cover the wire
- Wrap the flower stem and leaf stem with green floral tape
- Use floral tape to attach the leaf stem to the main stem
3D Paper Ruscus

Paper ruscus greenery to fill in paper floral arrangements.
Instructions:
- Crease center of each leaf and curl sides
- Use hot glue to attach 18-gauge floral wire to stem portion of one leaf
- Use hot glue to attach 2-in. segments of 22-gauge floral wire to stem portion of several leaves
- Wrap each shorter leaf stem with floral tape to cover wire
- Use floral tape to wrap wire on long stem
- Attach shorter leaf segments with floral tape as you move down the stem, leaving about 1/2 inch of wire that can be bent out away from main stem
- Attach at least five leaves per stem
3D Paper Greenery

Paper greenery to fill in paper floral arrangements. Cut two stems per letter-size paper or three stems per 12×12-in. paper.
Instructions:
- Crease center of each leaf and curl sides
- Glue 22-gauge wire to back of stem and cover with extra strip
- Slightly bend wired stem for visual interest
Arrangement

Instructions:
- Fill vase about 2/3 full with plain rice
- Add 3 ruscus stems to create triangle effect – trim or bend wire ends so top level is at or above 100% height over vase
- Add 3 greenery stems (curve one to left, curve one to right, one up center) – trim or bend wire ends as necessary
- Add 5-7 dahlias to create rough triangle shape, bending the flower heads toward the front or sides – trim or bend wire ends as necessary
